Autumn Saltmarsh Easter i’ th’ countryThe changing light as one walks to the far end of Longmarsh and looks across the river Dart towards the Sharpham estate is often quite beguiling. I have drawn and painted this view many times and made several collages too. This time the blue sky was being chased away by darker clouds causing the light to suddenly turn silvery white on the high tide. I decided to work with pastels on board.
